Biography
- Joined The Industrial Bank of Japan (now Mizuho Bank) in 1984.
- In 1995 at IBJ Securities, secured the bookrunner mandate for Kansai Electric Power’s corporate bond — the first such mandate for a bank-affiliated securities house — expanding Mizuho’s access to the power bond market. [Ref-1]
- Appointed Executive Officer, Head of Global Capital Markets, Mizuho Securities (2012).
- In 2015, contributed to Mizuho’s acquisition of RBS’s North American loan assets. [Ref-2]
- Also in 2015, became Managing Executive Officer at Mizuho Financial Group / Mizuho Securities (Domestic Sales / IPO oversight).
